Occupation: Operations Assistant with UNOPS
MUN Experience: Joseph has taken up a great spectrum of roles at some of the world's finest simulations of international organizations – inter alia Model UN and Model EU in Saint Petersburg, Accra, Lagos, Yaoundé, Cambridge, London, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Oxford, Sofia, Moscow, New York, Zurich, Durham, Boston, London, Edinburgh and a few other thrilling cities. As a UN employee, he has had the privilege of meeting and interacting with people from almost every country of the world and this has shaped his perspective of international and cultural relations.
Hobbies: During his free time, he enjoys hiking and taking aerial photos and videos with his Mavic 2 Pro.
Fun Fact: (Editor's note: Joseph is actually employed by the UN. That's pretty fun in my opinion.)
Occupation: Law student at Heidelberg University
MUN Experience: Niklas started with MUN in his first semester when he joined the Heidelberg MUN Society in late 2016 but it was nearly a year later when he tried his first MUN conference. CUIMUN 2019 will be his sixth time chairing and his eight conference in total. Niklas is especially looking forward to CUIMUN as it will be his second conference outside of Germany and his first time being at a British one, making it an extra adventurous experience.
Hobbies: In his free time, Niklas likes to - beyond dreaming of MUN conferences he cannot attend - play the trumpet in an orchestra and spends as much time as possible with his friends.
Fun Fact: Niklas also once fell asleep on the beach during low tide and woke up realising it was high tide.
Occupation: Geophysics student at Imperial College London
MUN Experience: Savvas is Secretary of Training for ICMUN for 2019-20, and got his first taste of MUN in 2013. Since then, Savvas has been a Delegate in the General Assembly and the Security Council, a Chair, President of the General Assembly, Approval Panel coordinator – a mixture of everything really. CUIMUN will be his second University MUN as a Chair after OxiMUN.
Hobbies: Outside of MUN, Savvas enjoys hiking with friends, travelling, watching disaster documentaries (with a special affection for volcanoes) and watching, reading and writing about football.
Fun Fact: He is also a pretty decent impressionist and mimic, with his best act being the singer of La Camisa Negra.
