With the staging of Model General Assemblies (the precursor to Model UN) dating back to the 1960s, Cambridge has a long and intimate history with the UN. Several Cantabrigians have gone on to hold roles across many levels of the UN (up to and including Deputy Secretary General), while the University also boasts several UK Permanent Representatives among its alumni. Establishing the first university-level European MUN conference in 1994, this long and storied relationship continues to go from strength to strength, with Cambridge University International Model United Nations being one of the most respected, historic and prestigious conferences on the European, and indeed global, MUN circuit. The Secretariat for the Twenty-Sixth Session look forward to raising the bar even higher in November 2020.
There are a wide variety of committees available at CUIMUN.
We group our committees into beginner, intermediate and advanced levels so that any delegate, of any experience level, may find a committee to suit them.
